By Press Journal staff report March 16, 2005

SEBASTIAN Drs. Juanita and Richard Baker, of Sebastian, will be honored Tuesday for their recently published book, "Reflections of Blue Cypress Lake," and their support of environmental causes. The Bakers will receive the 2004 Environmental Enhancement Award, given by The Friends of St. Sebastian River, of Roseland, at the Friends' meeting at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. The Bakers designated all proceeds from the sale of the book to environmental causes supported by the Pelican Island Audubon Society. Blue Cypress Lake is in western Indian River County.

"Through their generosity, participation in local environmental issues, exposing us to our local natural wonders, and their efforts to conserve their own small piece of habitat on the St. Sebastian River, we are pleased to recognize the Bakers' passion for the environment," Friends President Tim Glover said in a prepared statement.
